Dear SESSA Colleague,

Every two years the International Solar Energy Society has its flagship congress where people from all over the World meet to exchange ideas and have discussions on sustainable energy topics. In 2009, the Sustainable Energy Society of Southern Africa, the southern African ISES section, is honored to host the congress in Johannesburg, from the 11 to 14 October.

After more than 6 years of involvement with formulating the idea of this congress, I cannot believe that in just a few weeks, we will have the opening session and the congress will be under way. There are more than 70 countries represented in the delegates registered.

I am sure that you have been receiving our newsletters, but I taken this opportunity to personally send it to you.

We still have space for delegates and would be delighted to see more South Africans attending. We, therefore, request your kind assistance to send our latest newsletter to as many of your associates as possible?

Please view the newsletter on the link below. We have provided information on the options available for you to send the newsletter to your databases. The objective is to have the newsletter appear in the email.

Option 1
Use the URL in the group email application of your choice to create the format for sending
1. http://www.solarworldcongress2009.com/electronic/SWC2009-2.html

Option 2
Download the zip file from: http://www.solarworldcongress2009.com/electronic/Archive.zip
Extract the zip files and host the newsletter on your server of choice and then add to your group email application

Option 3
The following steps are to test a send to yourself first and then send to your recipients:

  1. Launch Internet Explorer
  2. Copy and paste the link into the address bar: http://www.solarworldcongress2009.com/electronic/SWC2009-2.html
  3. Wait for the page to load
  4. Click File > Send > Page by Email
  5. The newsletter will open in the email client (It will not look perfect, but this is not a problem)
  6. Insert your address in the To field to send to yourself for testing > Click Send
  7. Check your email for the test
  8. If you are happy then repeat step 1 to 5
  9. Insert the email addresses of your selected recipients into the BCC field and click Send.
