Yeshiva College Playschool

Yeshiva College Playschool aims to develop the “whole child” by nurturing each individual child’s social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and physical needs, within a warm, loving and caring environment. The playschool offers an age-appropriate, integrated General Studies and Limudei Kodesh programme, offering superior care and stimulation for very young children. The school’s objective is to instill a love of Judaism and Yiddishkeit, creating a platform for a lifetime of Torah learning.

Curriculum

An integration of General Studies and Kodesh underlies the curriculum.

General Studies:
Perceptual activities; creative activities through a variety of mediums; songs; stories; discussion rings; literacy; numeracy.

Limudei Kodesh:
Davening; songs; Parsha; "Mitzva of the Week"; "Basket of Jewish Stories"; chesed programme; Chaggim; Shabbat.

The following is also offered:
"Music and Movement"; "Kids on the Ball"; drumming; library; "Fundamentals of Movement"; edutainment such as "Farm Animals".

Facilities

Yeshiva College Playschool is able to accommodate three classes with fifteen children per class. The children turn three years old in the year that they spend with us. Three teachers and five assistants look after our little learners. Outdoors, an exciting playground fuels our children's energy whilst indoors, a variety of educational games and equipment develop our little learners' skills.

School Starting and Finishing Times

Monday - Thursday: 7.40 am - 12.15 pm
Friday: 7.40 am - 12 noon

(Although the Playschool opens "officially" at the above time, flexibility is exercised in view of the ages of our learners. The children arrive between 7.40 am and 9.00 am.)
