It is with a great deal of pleasure that The International Solar Energy Society (ISES) together with the Sustainable Energy Society of Southern Africa (SESSA) invite you to Johannesburg to the 29th Solar World Congress. The exciting and comprehensive Congress program being developed will include the latest findings in renewable energy research, technology, applications, education and good policy initiatives.

In particular it will concentrate on issues for developing countries who, like Southern Africa, have an abundance of sun and other renewable energy resources. The topic, “Renewable Energy Shaping Our Future” is a timely one as the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions is a major agenda item for Governments, Industries and the Community to address as Climate Change becomes one of the greatest concerns facing humanity.

It is well known that Renewable Energy must play a significant part in Climate Change mitigation, and so we welcome you to join with us in Johannesburg to make our contribution towards helping the development of a sustainable energy solution.
